MONTLY PLANS SCOPE

(The not-so Fine Print)

Turnaround, the Realistic way

Every project is different. Some edits move fast, others need a little more breathing room. What matters is that you’re never guessing, we’ll align on timing up front and keep you in the loop as things move.

Quick-turn pieces like reels and social shorts (under 90 seconds) usually move quickly, with timing based on volume and scope. Even within the day!

Most short-form videos are completed within a tight window once direction is clear.

Longer edits naturally take more care:

  • under 10 minutes typically take a couple of days

  • up to 20 minutes often land around three

  • 30-minute projects vary depending on footage, structure, and notes

  • hour-long projects depend heavily on complexity, story, and level of polish

That said, many longer projects move faster when the footage is clean and the direction is dialed in.

Motion graphics, titles, and heavier design work can add time, but we’ll always call that out early so expectations stay aligned.

What’s Included

  • Support materials That Actually Help:
Licensed music and stock footage when it makes sense for the project, Captioning when needed, no scrambling, no corner-cutting.

  • Signature Edits with Flair
Every cut gets the Media Grinders Special Sauce: taste, pacing, restraint, and attention to the stuff most people miss.

  • Real Tools, Used Properly
We edit and finish in DaVinci Resolve (edit, color, audio), Adobe After Effects, and — when a project calls for it — Avid Media Composer. Tools serve the work, not the other way around.

Excluded Services

While we cover a wide range of post-production, the following are outside our standard scope:

  • Screen recordings or screenshots

  • External asset sourcing (beyond our available licensed stock libraries)

  • Advanced or custom animation, complex motion graphics, or compositing (This can be quoted separately for custom projects)

  • Complex color grading, sound design, or graphic design not tied to editing (This can be quoted separately for custom projects)

  • Scriptwriting/copywriting from scratch

  • Broadcast, IPTV, or studio-specific edits with pain in the ass standards (specialized packages required, quoted separately)

  • Specific Stock Footage/ Music: If a clip or audio track isn’t available in our paid libraries, you may provide it (with proper licensing).

What Can Affect Timing (and Why)

  • We move fast when things are clear and organized. When they’re not, projects naturally take longer. None of this is punitive — it’s just how editing works in the real world.

  • Footage Size
Large uploads take time to wrangle. Files over 50GB can slow things down, and anything north of 150GB usually benefits from proxies.

  • Footage Quality
Poorly Shot footage, unsynced audio, missing coverage, or multi-cam without proper sync/ mismatched footage and other dumb shit all add complexity before the creative work even starts.

  • Edit Complexity
Heavy captions, masking, rotoscoping, or ultra-fine polish take extra care — and extra time.

  • Clarity of Direction
Clear notes move edits forward. Vague, incomplete, or constantly shifting direction slows everything down.

  • Volume vs. Output
Cutting a 10-minute piece from four hours of raw footage is very different than cutting from one. More footage means more decisions.

  • Queue Reality
When multiple projects are submitted at once, work moves through the queue in order. Focus helps things move faster.

  • Bottom line:
Projects move fastest when footage is organized, direction is clear, and special requests stay reasonable. We’ll always flag issues early so timing stays aligned.

And remember: it ain't art...Just entertainment!
